Congratulations to the Winner of the 2018 Marshall Suites Nature Photo Contest
The decision was tough, but this beautiful photo of renewal of life in nature won.
The Marshall Suites is pleased to announce the top three winners of its 2018 Nature Photo Contest which ran from June 15, 2018 to August 15, 2018.
Congratulations to our First Place winner Will McNamee of Tacoma, Washington. Will found this dead tree stump nurturing new tree growth at the Bloedel Reserve and named his winning photo entry “From Death Comes Life”.
Seems like Bloedel Reserve and the beaches on Bainbridge Island inspired a lot of people who submitted their creative photo entries. Entries included frogs on lily pads, boats racing, cherry blossom trees in bloom, and interesting architecture like the Hobbit House on High School Road.
Our Second Place winner, Amanda Voltin of Bainbridge Island, Washington found her inspiration on the beach at Fay Bainbridge Park. She snapped her photo on a chilly January afternoon when she and her children stumbled upon the perfect sign “You Are Beautiful”. Yes, Bainbridge Island is beautiful and sharing family time outdoors exploring nature is even more beautiful! Thank you Amanda for letting us all share in this special family memory.
The Third Place winner also was inspired by nature at the Bloedel Reserve. Carol Stotts of Santa Barbara, California found “Enlightenment in the Japanese Garden” at the Bloedel Reserve. The ray of sunlight atop the pine tree must have been a sight to behold!
Thank you to everyone that participated in this year’s Photo Contest. We welcome everyone to come visit Bainbridge Island, explore its natural beauty and get inspired by all that Bainbridge Island has to offer.
The winning photos will be on display at the Marshall Suites beginning in mid-October. Come visit us soon and make The Marshall Suites your home away from home while visiting Bainbridge Island.
